Researching the growth of various native species under different growing conditions.
The trail beds are designed to test how different native species will survive with no watering, fertilizer, or weeding.
It is hoped that contractors and landscapers will utilize the plants in roadside vegetation.
Volunteers monitor the beds and record results.
