This is a City-owned Natural Area located on the far southwestern boundary of the City, between 215 Street and the river valley. It consists of a somewhat disturbed woodland on the level and a steep south-facing sandy dune slope that was once a cultivated field. Until the City comes up with a plan for this area, there is little we can do in terms of restoration but we have, with the City’s cognizance, cleared three small beds in the sandy area and transplanted natives from a similar dune area further to the north (now leveled for housing).
