| Purpose of the Position: | Contribute to a database of photographs of seedheads and of plants in order to aid volunteers and other individuals in plant id and seed collection. |

| Principle Duties and Responsibilities: | Photograph seed heads and plants. |
| Supervision: | You will work closely with the lead volunteer on the project and the volunteer coordinator. |
| Selection Criteria: | Must provide own photographic equipment. Some basic plant id skills are beneficial. |
| Benefits of the Role: | Contribution to achieving the Edmonton Naturalization Groups Mission and goals: ENG's goal is to promote the use of native wildflowers and grasses in gardening and landscaping. This is done through educating groups and individuals on native plants, providing native plants to volunteers, groups, and members of the public, and participating in restoration and protection of native plant populations. |
| Contribution to the community: Native plants are adapted to the environmental conditions of the area, as such they generally require less care resulting in lower costs. Further, native plants are attractive to native wildlife. Thus, the restoration of natural areas can help to attract and maintain native wildlife populations which can be enjoyed by local residents. | |
